Everyday Life

It is easy to fall into a rhythm throughout the week. Many people focus on getting through work and school so that they can relax on the weekend. While it is nice to have those two days of freedom, we sometimes take everyday for granted. With winter here many things are more difficult. The ice covers roads like the comforter that covers your bed. Driving is quite a difficult task for many which causes risk. One thing that winter did bring was a sense of peace. When I make my half-hour trek to class everyday,  I've started to notice things that I would normally not give a second glance. I noticed how the fat squirrels and rabbits hop through the thick snow to find the remaining vegetation, how there are still songs in the air from birds that haven't migrated, and how beautiful the snow looks glistening in the morning sun.  All these things can be taken for granted because of the rhythm of everyday life. I implore you to take your next day like it is your first day on this earth.
